King Penthouse
The King Penthouse is a residence of understated luxury and refined elegance, providing a calm and quiet oasis within the backdrop of the energy from the city outside.
With its generous scale and proportions, the King Penthouse is not just a space for large-scale entertaining, but also a haven for quiet intimacy, designed to cater to a variety of needs.
The residence responds to and references its location high above the expansive undulating Sydney harbour, which glistens and reflects the abundance and clarity of natural light. Curved forms, natural light, and surface reflectivity informed the design of the King Penthouse.
Every detail of the King Penthouse, including the lighting design, has been meticulously crafted to create ambient, soft and intimate spaces, while also showcasing the sparkling city lights outside, ensuring a perfect balance between interior and exterior.
The lighting also enhanced the natural veining and colour shift within the warmth of the stone. Monochromatic finishes were used throughout the front-of-house areas to accentuate the iconic harbour and city views. This is juxtaposed by the private spaces enveloped in rich finishes, introducing the colour and texture of the natural materials.
